Sprinkler System (Haul Roads)

The basic system provides good coverage of a road 10 meters wide and of an undetermined length. Wider coverage is possible by fitting larger sprinklers with larger throws. Optimum coverage can be determined by fitting different sized sprinklers in stock yards of irregular sizes and are designed to run from a tank or a settling pond. Pumps can also be fitted with foot valves and strainers to allow pumps to operate from a pond or lagoon. Different seals can be fitted to the pump to allow the pump to handle dirtier water.

Larger capacity sprinklers will require larger volumes of water to achieve greater throws and will also require larger pumps and pipe work to operate.

Large capacity rain guns are also available to cover larger areas and variable angle of high trajectory rain guns to cover stockpiles.

Wind direction and speed will affect coverage of sprinklers and rain guns which must be taken into account when positioning.

All systems are tailor-made to suit the customer’s application and only basic site layout information is required for this.
