Airborne dust can cause all manner of problems. Using water to suppress dust works by adding to the weight of airborne dust so it will fall to the ground and most quarries have an abundant supply of water in settling ponds.
Dust control within quarries has been driven up the safety agenda in recent years. It is a significant consideration for operators, also having various health and safety legislations to adhere to for the safety of their workers and nearby residents. High levels of dust are created from various processes, whilst the materials are being crushed, screened, transported and stockpiled. Therefore it’s important to have a solution that can be implemented easily at any stage of material processing.
Dust pollution can cause a number of problems including health and safety issues, reduced visibility and damage to machinery and vehicles on site leading to expensive repairs and in turn loss of revenue through down time.
